I believe in a caring and supportive community where the Pico/Ojai Valley contains a “momentum with positive students/cluster diversity”!
By intent, and purpose, I don’t intend to disparage any individual or entity. Instead, I will focus on the character of the support/appreciation by school staff for the encouraging example set by student or family members. It’s a disappointment to learn of this problematic behavior, but I’m working with officials to address it, and, in doing so, to ensure every child feels represented and supported. We must maintain a perspective for the current students and future generations!
The importance of support/appreciation cannot be understated! Your positive example can begin with me, and send out a sustainable message in Pico/Ojai and across our entire nation! It creates an environment of personal development, strengthening the everyday self-respect of every student, parent, and staff member.
Just as David the Wise in Hebrew told us to remember the “feel-good stories” after we’ve walked the mountain with Him, I encourage my students to continually think of positive stories (where they can find them) in our school, our community, and the world. Study them up, collect them, and share them!
Without your examples and quick-thinking, the quality of one life is very different from another! So, please consider choosing one story, every day, and bearing it with the utmost care, caring, and loving care in a thoughtful and conscious way. Give that story to one student, make it your calling; share it with a group of students, share it with a parent/guardian, share it with everyone!
As I recently mentioned, trust the positive that can begin with me, and share it with others. Remember the feeling-good stories every day, and, together, we can find the positive stories in the world! All of our stories are tales.
