National retailers are getting into the pie game

Pizza Hut says it has sold its $4.99/1 slice of pepperoni to almost every customer of its more than 26,000 restaurants nationwide. National retailers are adding to the pie game, too, and they are offering a few good deals.

Some of the larger ones are offering free pizza for voters. Target will extend its free-pizza-for-voters offer to Nov. 8. Walmart says it will offer free pizza to voters on Nov. 8.

Budget grocery stores are on sale

Panther Tree is offering a deal for Amazon Prime members.

A Panther Tree spokesman says it’s the first time a retailer has sold its products at a deep discount. The discount is part of a national effort to help bring down the price of goods being purchased during the holiday shopping season.
