Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, can’t stop filibustering the confirmation of Gina Haspel, President Trump’s nominee to head the CIA. He has been filibustering Haspel’s nomination so far until 5 p.m. ET on Tuesday, when Haspel is scheduled to be confirmed.
So Cruz has found a creative way to traffic his way through an almost-certain vote to support Gina Haspel’s confirmation.
Here are the images the social media feeds at the State Department show is happening at their desks:

With the end of the government shutdown, staff is back to work at @StateDept. The State Department declined to confirm if any employees were still being impacted, but said no Secret Service clearances have been denied.
More State Department employees go back to work.
Cruz has tried to block the secretary of state nominee of John Bolton and Mike Pompeo’s nomination. But, as of yet, no one has succeeded.
