Attorneys for Halle Berry and ex-husband Olivier Martinez are to return to a Los Angeles court next month to discuss how the actress should care for their 4-year-old son.
A California judge awarded Berry “primary physical custody” of her young son Maceo during a July court hearing, the Los Angeles Times reported, confirming that Berry’s current live-in boyfriend, French TV host Jaime King, will not be named as a co-guardian of the child.
But a court ruling failed to outline whether Berry and Martinez will share joint legal custody, according to the outlet. The sources for the story, speaking on condition of anonymity, told the Times Berry and Martinez had decided to fight over parental rights.
A representative for Berry was not immediately available for comment to CNN.
Berry and Martinez first met in 2010 and married in July 2013. Their son was born in July 2014, however, Berry announced in April 2017 that she was separating from the French actor. The couple broke up a month later.
